DESIGN-ENGINE|EDUCATION

is, hands down, the world leader in delivering high-impact courses for 3D professionals, industrial designers, mechanical engineers, draftsmen, mechanics, and game designers alike. We are less about the software and more about technique, which delivers higher software comprehension and retention. We don’t just teach the software; we teach design and engineering. Our history is a proven track record, having trained over 2,000 industry professionals in software such as Pro/ENGINEERPro/SURFACECreoSolidworksMayaRhinoAlias, and AdobeDESIGN-ENGINE|EDUCATION also offers workshops in design and engineering. All courses and training classes can be customized to meet your company’s specific needs. If there is a training course that you are interested in that is not on our schedule, give us a call and we will add it. Call 312.226.8339 to discuss with an account representative today. Creo Level One is offered the first full week of each month.
Creo Surfacing is offered the fourth week of each month.

Below you will find a schedule of upcoming training courses and classes:

  • Upcoming Classes Schedule October 6, 2014
SolidWorks Training Level 1 – Introduction to Constraint Based Modeling
    Starts: 12:00 am
    Ends: October 11, 2014 - 12:00 am
    Location: Design Engine Education
    Description: http://proetools.com/solidworks-training-level-1-introduction-to-constraint-based-modeling/

SolidWorks Training Level 1 – Introduction to Constraint Based Modeling

Every other Month or Inquire on custom class dates for 3 or more students

Course Duration: 40 hours from 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM or custom hours available upon class agreement

    Overview:
Solidworks intelligent design tools minimize training needs and let you quickly detail designs without error. You can automatically dimension manufacturing features in 3D, check dimensional completeness, and graphically display dimensional status on 2D drawings. Automatic interference and collision detection makes sure all parts fit together before you build a physical prototype, reducing cost and shortening the overall design cycle for faster time to market. Introduction to constraint based modeling utilizing the latest release of

    Projects:
Model and detail a desk vice. If time permits we will also modify an existing assembly of parts with interference issues.

    Prerequisite:
Mechanical aptitude and a desire to learn SolidWorks.
  • Upcoming Classes Schedule October 13, 2014
    Pro/Cable Harness Design
    Starts: 12:00 am
    Ends: October 18, 2014 - 12:00 am
    Location: Design Engine Education
    Description: Pro/Cable Harness Design

Every other Month or Inquire on custom class dates for 3 or more students

Course Duration: 40 hours from 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM or custom hours available upon class agreement

    Overview:
This class runs every other month. In this five day course, participants will gain a healthy knowledge of routing cables and individual conductors in Pro/E assemblies. Using Routed Systems Designer RSD or what is now being called Creo Schematics, participants will learn how to create 2D electrical harnesses that route that geometry through 3D Pro/E assemblies in order to obtain wire lengths and the appropriate nail board drawings of the flattened harnesses. Participants will learn how to route electrical harnesses, create flattened harnesses for manufacturing, and document harness designs by creating flattened harness drawings that include customized BOM tables and wire list information. Participants will also learn how to create Wiring Block Diagrams and utilize that data for later autoroute functions through assemblies. After successfully completing the course, participants will be able to create 3D electrical harnesses and associated manufacturing deliverables using Pro/Engineer Wildfire 4.0 or 5.0. The 40 hour course covers extensive study and use of RSD or Mentor Graphics for creating harnesses automatically.

    Recommendations:
It is strongly recommended that cabling designers attend this course and the Creating 2D Schematics with RSD 7.0 or 9.0 and Pro/Engineer Wildfire 4.0 or Wildfire 5.0 course. This will enable methodology of the complete process and an understanding of how the configuration of deliverable's from RSD such as wiring diagrams provide essential input for creating electrical harness assemblies.

    Audience:
This course is intended for engineers, involved in the 3D routing of electrical cabling and wire harnesses or electrical technicians who need more accurate harness drawings.
