Overview: General principles of rendering as it relates specifically to Rhino and Flamingo. Flamingo brings the features of AccuRender’s Ray Trace and Radiosity Rendering technology to Rhino. This plug-in includes rendering accurate images with Reflections, Refraction, Diffusion, Translucency, Transparency, Shadows, Depth of Field, Depth Attenuation, Clear Finish™, and Indirect Lighting. This course can also be administered with various other Rhino plug-in utilities such as Vray and Maxwell. Ask to speak to your instructor before coming to the class. Other features include procedural clouds, fractal-generated 3D plants, procedural 2D and 3D materials, progressive-refinement for quick preview, and background libraries.
Prerequisites: Industrial design degree, art degree, or CAD experience helpful but not necessary.
